You'll need to be a wordsmith, but also able to think visually and across platforms.
You'll need to be adept at Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram ( a 'strong interest' won't cut it) and have a good understanding on how to utilise these platforms for brands.
You'll be expected to nurture an idea from conception to birth, so styling, video and shoot experience (or at least a strong interest in these things) will be a distinct advantage.
You'll need to have planning experience and be able to conjure up content plans and copy month-on-month, but also be flexible to business needs and adapt quickly if these plans are subject to last-minute change.
Your role will be client-facing, so someone who is able to verbalise their ideas across a table, but also able to take on client-feedback and criticism. Experience with retail clients, and their distinct needs, would be an advantage.
You'll have a strong interest in DIY, interiors, homeware and styling. You don't have to be able to build a shed, but knowing the difference between eggshell, satin and semi-gloss paint will give you a leg-up.
An Instagram and Pinterest-fiend would be at home in this role.
A sense of humour is crucial, and an unflappable nature is definitely a bonus.
